Denying they said the Iraqi threat was imminent means the Administration knows it was not imminent. Otherwise, why deny being right?!

Rumsfeld: (One year after invasion) "You and a few other critics are the only people I've heard use the phrase 'immediate threat.' I didn't. The president didn't.
Rumsfeld: (Six months before invasion) "No terrorist state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world and the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq."
Their flip-flop is unimportant. What matters is that they are admitting
the threat was not imminent. There was no need to rush to war without our allies and suffer 95% of the losses and costs by ourselves.
Iraq was not connected to 9/11 and they knew it.
Had they not convinced America the threat was imminent, America probably would not have gone to war.
