Most accurate graph available, averages five polls: Gallop, AP/Ipsos, CBS, ABC/W.Post, and Pew Research. The result has about a 1.5% error every day compared with 3% for individual polls. Updated about twice a week. Adding 1/2 of undecided makes polls more comparable and prevents downward bias. Sophisticated averaging.

April 22, 2008. In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday, 28% of Americans approve of the job Bush is doing; 69% disapprove. The disapproval rate sets a new high for any president since Franklin Roosevelt. The previous record of 67% was reached by Harry Truman in January 1952, when the United States was enmeshed in the Korean War.

Bush's job approval rating dropped off the charts with the Wall Street mess. The bailout/rescue plan may well be victim to too many cries of "WOLF."h=]
