Why Boycott Exxon?

Exxon is the largest, most profitable company on earth.

Alone among the large oil companies, Exxon has continued to highlight doubts and uncertainty about human-caused climate change. more.

Alone among the large oil companies, Exxon has continued to fund pseudo-scientific advocacy groups that deny human-caused global warming.

Exxon's lobbying budget is bigger than any other oil company's.

Boycotting Exxon would be easy. Just drive to the next gas station.

Exxon needs encouragement to stop stonewalling on global warming, to stop funding deliberate scientific misrepresentation, to support constraints on carbon emissions, and to support renewable energy. Other oil companies already do. more

There is no reason your gas-purchase dollars need to go towards supporting Exxon's backwards-looking positions.
