Ayers, the "terrorist" is an education prof. at the U. of Illinois at Chicago. Together with two others, he won Chicago $5 for education from the Annenberg foundation. Obama met him in 1995 when he chaired an education project. He says Ayers is "somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8." The charges were dropped 34 years ago. Ayers once donated $200 to an Obama Campaign. Mayor Daley says he relies on Ayers for advice on education, as he's written 15 books on the subject.
