Sources of greenhouse gases.
The main sources of anthropogenic greenhouse gases for carbon dioxide: are burning fossil fuels and deforestation. For methane, the main sources are livestock, rice paddy farming, land use, and fossil fuel losses. Nitrous oxide emissions are mostly from agricultural practices, including the use of fertilizers.
