Women's Rights in the Bush Administration |
| |
General Issues Many Bush policies have eroded women’s rights. Section 8 housing changes threaten to cut grants which will affect familes headed by women. child care funding and funding for adult education programs will make it harder for women to move out of the lower levels of the job market. Out sourcing has left immigrants jobless.
Reproductive Rights From the reinstatement of the Regan "Mexico City Policy" banning funding to international organizations who might mention abortion, to the "partial birth abortion" ban, to the apppointment of judges, Bush policies threaten women’s health world wide.
